We strive to ensure that every product, from our ‌Aesthetic Desk Blotter with Floral Pattern for Home Office‌ to our ‌featured products‌, meets the highest standards. However, we understand that sometimes a return is necessary. This Refund and Returns Policy details the process for returns and exchanges and is governed by our Terms of Service. ‌Our policy strictly requires the physical return of items to our warehouse for any refund or exchange to be processed. We do not offer “refund only” (keep the item) resolutions for any reason, including but not limited to received items, incorrect items, or damaged items. Refunds or replacements are contingent upon the receipt and inspection of the returned product.

1. RETURN ELIGIBILITY & WINDOW

To be eligible for a return, your item must meet the following criteria:

  • Timeframe:‌ You must initiate a return within ‌30 calendar days‌ from the date you received the item.
  • Condition:‌ The item must be ‌unused, unopened, and in its original condition‌, with all original tags, labels, and packaging intact. Items that show signs of use, are damaged (beyond the scope of manufacturing defects), are not in resalable condition, or are missing parts will not be accepted and will be sent back to you at your expense.
  • Proof of Purchase:‌ You must provide the original order number or receipt.
  • Excluded Items:‌ For hygiene and safety reasons, we cannot accept returns on certain items, including but not limited to:
    • Opened or used fountain pens, markers, or ink cartridges.
    • Personalized, custom-made, or monogrammed products (e.g., engraved stationery).
    • Sealed software, downloadable products, or digital content where the seal has been broken or the file has been accessed.
    • Any item purchased during a final sale, clearance, or special promotion explicitly marked “Non-Returnable” or “Final Sale.”

2. THE RETURN PROCESS (STEP-BY-STEP)

Follow these steps carefully to ensure your return is processed efficiently. Returns sent without prior authorization will not be accepted.

  1. Contact Us for Authorization:‌ ‌DO NOT SHIP THE ITEM BACK YET.‌ Within the 30-day window, contact our Customer Service team at ‌suasitive@easternstationerymartinc.com‌ or ‌+1 905-793-5347‌. Please provide your order number and reason for the return (e.g., wrong size, change of mind, defective item).
  2. Receive Return Authorization (RMA):‌ We will review your request. If eligible, we will issue a ‌Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number‌ and provide you with the correct return shipping address (which may differ from our business address). ‌Packages received without a valid RMA number clearly marked on the outside of the box will be refused or returned to the sender.
  3. Pack and Ship the Item:‌ Securely pack the item(s) in their original packaging, if possible, and include all accessories and documentation. Place the RMA number ‌clearly on the outside of the shipping box‌. We highly recommend using a trackable and insured shipping service for your return. ‌You are responsible for the cost of return shipping unless the return is due to our error (e.g., we sent the wrong item) or a verified manufacturer’s defect.
  4. Wait for Inspection & Processing:‌ Once we receive your return at our warehouse, our team will inspect the item(s) to ensure they meet our return eligibility conditions. This process typically takes ‌3-5 business days‌ after receipt.

3. REFUNDS, EXCHANGES, AND REPLACEMENTS

Our resolution options depend on the reason for the return and are ‌only issued after we have received and approved the returned item.

  • Refunds (for Change of Mind, Wrong Size/Item Ordered):
    • Timing:‌ Upon successful inspection, your refund will be processed within ‌10 business days‌. Please note that it may take an additional ‌5-10 business days‌ for the refund to appear on your original payment method’s statement, depending on your bank or card issuer.
    • Amount:‌ The refund will be for the ‌purchase price of the item(s)‌. Original shipping charges are ‌non-refundable‌. Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer.
  • Exchanges:
    • For a Different Item or Size:‌ To exchange for a different product or size, you must follow the standard return process above. Once the return is received and approved, you will receive a refund for the original item. You must then place a ‌new order‌ for the desired item on our website. This ensures you receive updated inventory and the fastest service. We cannot hold items for pending exchanges.
  • Replacements (for Defective, Damaged, or Incorrect Items):
    • If you receive a defective, damaged (not caused in transit), or incorrect item, we will cover the costs to make it right ‌after we receive and inspect the returned product‌. Please contact us immediately upon discovery. We will provide a pre-paid return shipping label for you to send the item back. After inspection and verification of the issue, we will ship a replacement of the correct/functional item to you at no additional cost. ‌No replacement will be shipped prior to receiving and inspecting the original item.

4. IMPORTANT CLARIFICATION: “REFUND ONLY” IS NOT ALLOWED

We have a strict “No Refund Only” policy.‌ Under no circumstances will we issue a refund and allow the customer to keep the product. This policy applies universally, including in cases of:

  • Customer dissatisfaction with the product.
  • Receipt of the wrong item by our error.
  • Receipt of a damaged or defective item.
  • A customer’s change of mind.

The only path to a refund, exchange, or replacement is the physical return of the item to our designated warehouse and its subsequent approval by our inspection team.‌ Claims made without a return will not be honored.

5. NON-RETURNABLE ITEMS & FINAL SALE

All items categorized under ‌Section 1 (Excluded Items)‌ are final sale and cannot be returned for a refund or exchange. Additionally, items purchased during special promotions such as ‌“deal of the day”‌ or ‌“Up to 15% Off”‌ events may be designated as final sale; this will be ‌clearly stated on the product page and during checkout‌ before you complete your purchase.

6. INTERNATIONAL RETURNS (Outside Canada)

Customers returning items from outside Canada are responsible for:

  • All return shipping costs and any associated insurance.
  • Any customs duties, taxes, or brokerage fees incurred during the return shipment. We recommend marking the package as “Returned Goods” with the declared value to potentially reduce fees.
  • Ensuring the package is properly filled out with our provided RMA number. We are not responsible for packages lost in transit back to us. We advise using a fully trackable international courier service.

Important:‌ Refunds for international returns will be issued in the original currency of purchase and for the item value only. Taxes, duties, and original international shipping costs are non-refundable. Currency conversion fluctuations or bank fees are the responsibility of the customer.
